Headshot & Editorial Photography

Photos that feel
utterly you.

After years of being in front of the camera myself, my approach is different. I focus on helping you relax first. From there, we delve in and find the essence of who you are, capturing it in a way that makes people stop in their tracks.

We’ll chat. We’ll laugh together. Maybe even cry.

But you’ll leave knowing you’ve been truly seen by the camera, with pictures that reflect the full, beautiful range of who you are. And that, my friend, is the kind of magic that artists like us live for.

To feel like you.

To feel like you.

You want them to be real.

You want them to be real.

You don’t want your headshots to be perfect.

You don’t want your headshots to be perfect.

Listen, I know how you feel.

I’ve stood right where you’ve stood. Countless times.

I’ve had headshot sessions I’ve wanted to dance down the street after like it’s 500 Days Of Summer. And I’ve had sessions that’ve made me want to melt into the floor of the studio right then and there like I’m Elphaba. By now, l know what makes a good headshot session, and what doesn’t.

Think of the best rehearsal room you’ve been in. Remember that amazing atmosphere, that fun spirit of collaboration? Those are the artistic spaces I like to work in, and what I bring to every photography session I do.

It really comes down to two things: feeling relaxed enough to be yourself, and feeling prepared enough to do your best work.

Headshot Sessions

Investment: $350

These are the shots that open doors. Honest, compelling, and completely you, not a performance of you. The kind of headshot that makes a casting director stop scrolling. Because the best headshot isn't the most polished one. It's the one that actually looks like you walked in the room.

• 90 minute session

• 4 edits (color + B&W, 8x10)

• Additional edits can be purchased for $20 each

Editorial Sessions

Investment: $550

Same energy as the studio, but this time the whole world is your backdrop. Location or studio, we'll build imagery that breathes personality into your social presence, your press kit, and everything in between: dynamic, unguarded, and unmistakably you.

2-hour session

• 10 edits (color + B&W, 8x10)

• Additional edits can be purchased for $20 each

Here’s how we make all of this happen

PRE-PRODUCTION
We hop on a call and talk through your target shows and the looks you're going for. If you're not sure yet, no problem - I can point you toward people who can help. Then you chat with your team, pull together a playlist that puts you in your zone, send me any Pinterest moodboards and inspiration you've collected, drink copious amounts of water and a good nights rest (if possible).
THE SHOOT
You show up however you're feeling that day — it's all good. We settle in, chat a bit, and when you're ready, I put on your music, grab my camera, and we just keep talking. We swap stories, have a laugh, and I capture those moments in between. We'll look through the shots together as we go to make sure you love them. Bring a friend — not someone who makes you want to get it "right," but someone who gives you permission to be fully yourself. Snorts and all.
Post-Production
You're done. The rest is on me. You'll have your gallery within 48 hours. Then you get to do the fun part: kick back with your favorite bevvie,, look through the photos with whoever you want, and pick your favorites. I'll polish them up, and you'll be ready to go out there and show the world who you really are. Slay.

Trauma Bonding: My Personal Headshot Nightmare

The worst headshot session I ever had was with a big LA photographer.

I had done a ton of prep: researched my target shows, worked with a stylist, explored the photographer’s portfolio and mapped out which backdrops I wanted. I even created a headshot document and printed it out. Despite the hefty price tag, I walked in confident and, dare I say, actually excited for once.

Upon arrival, I eagerly showed them my document. They took one look at it, rolled their eyes and tossed it on a chair. Then they started mixing and matching my carefully chosen outfits into something completely different than I had in mind. Thanks to years of therapy, I managed to stand my ground. But they didn't let up. I had to negotiate for what I wanted. At my own headshot session. Literally.

I was seething the entire time. But underneath? My inner kid felt small and bullied.

Since stepping onto this side of the camera, my main focus is fostering an environment and atmosphere that is the complete opposite of that day. I want you feeling relaxed, confident, and empowered. And hey, if we’re lucky, maybe even a little bit excited, too.

Cheers, Nathan
